Here comes a very special edition of Fumoir des Anges: Tabac Noir.
It
is a smokier version, which contains a black Latakia tobacco absolute
that is unfortunately no longer available. This precious sort of tobacco
was formerly produced
in Syria by a very lengthy process in which the leaves were slowly
sun-dried, then fumigated for several month over oak, pine and
cedarwoods, then followed by additional fermentation steps.
It's aroma is extremely deep and complex unlike any other. I
decided to compliment it with a generous dose of an extremely high
grade orris extract (75% Irone), worth 3 times the price of gold, Coffee
Absolute and Birch Tar.
