While there is ten thousands of so called rose and oud perfumes on the market that knock you out with their nuclear synthetic stench and, despite their little value, still surreal prices, this is the real deal!
The white Bulgarian rose oil I'm using here (vintage 2012) is the most precious rose essence one can get.
It's bouquet is divinely ethereal and angelic like no other.
Each year only a small amount of it is produced from the Rosa Alba bushes that are planted as a border of the Rosa Damascena fields and mostly reserved for the houses of kings. One gram of it retails at around 50$.
Once my stock is depleted I know it's price will have multiplied, if it is available at all.
Now Oud is another topic. Since the trade with wild harvested Oud is downright illegal and an environmental sin, I only use CITES qualified plantation grown Oud by Biolandes and in the latest batch of this perfume I have upped the dosage seriously.
Unfortunately I received the information that this product is not available anymore, so let's see what the future brings.
